A classic Rioja from the family-owned Bodegas Heras Cordón in Fuenmayor. The winery has a long tradition of making traditional Rioja wines and has also been the official supplier to the Vatican since 2003.
TASTING NOTES
Elegant and generous with a fine balance between ripe red fruit, vanilla and cocoa. There are notes of raspberry and plum along with coffee, chocolate and subtle toasted barrel notes. Silky in the mouth, with fresh acidity, well-integrated tannins and a long, lively finish.
RAW PRODUCT
80% Tempranillo · 10% Mazuelo · 10% Graciano
The grapes come from older vineyards in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, where the Heras Cordón family works with traditional local grape varieties.
PRODUCTION
The grapes are selectively harvested and fermented with natural yeasts under temperature-controlled conditions. The wine is aged for 13 months in American oak barrels, which gives the classic combination of fruit, spice, vanilla and toasted notes.
A classic Rioja wine with a lot of character – easy to enjoy and made for food.
