One of the best restaurants in Germany, Asian style seafood restaurant Tantris, with its iconic red and black decor, has won many awards over the years since its opening in 1974, most notably two Michelin stars. ‘Exotic’ and ‘different’ is what the restaurant conceived and built ‘just for fun’ by Munich property developer Fritz Eichbauer should be, according to Zurich architect Justus Dahinden, who completed work there in 1971. The main dinging room, red as a lobster and black as truffles, with its walls arching steeply to the centre of the room and wide glazed façades, this room is much loved for its dimensions, light and airiness.

Hofbräuhaus

The Staatliches Hofbräuhaus in Munich (Public Royal Brewery) is a brewery owned by the Bavarian state government and used to be the royal brewery in the Kingdom of Bavaria. Visited by many famous patrons over the years, it has a colourful history and been written about by such celebrities as Mozart who lived nearby in the 18th century. The Brewery is comprised of the Schwemme – historic beer hall on the first floor of the building considered the heart of the Hofbräuhaus; Bräustüberl – serves light Bavarian cuisine; Festival Hall – used for celebrations of all kinds; Beer Garden – room for nearly 400 guests outside. The brewery owns the Hofbräuhaus am Platzl, the Hofbräukeller and one of the largest tents at the Oktoberfest (Hofbräu-Festzelt).

Café Marais

Café Marais is named after famous area Le Marais in Paris and has quickly made a name for itself since its opening in 2006 for its great vintage ambiance, and unique style.
