Now we are challenging Systembolaget and all online wine retailers as to who offers the best and most wine for the money.

Our mixed wine box comes from the cooperative Celler de Capçanes in the Montsant region of Spain. There we find Anna Rovira, who is regarded as the country’s best female winemaker, and the cooperative produces a variety of fantastically priced wines that create an extraordinary wine offer. A perfect summer box that contains bubbly, white and three reds that usually goes well with everything from the luxurious fillet to the summer pasta and the grilled chicken.

The box wine is completely unique. Aged twelve months in French oak barrels and therefore produced in very limited volume. Our offer is valid while stocks last.

This summer box includes:

Lasendal Selecció 2021
Mas Picosa Red 2021
Mas Picosa White 2022
Sense Cap Cava Brut Reserva
Mas del Ponts Bag-In-Box 3L

Description

What made us choose this particular Bodega?

When we try new wines, we always first look at the relationship between price and quality. Then we think that good summer wines should go with most things, especially grilled chicken, pork and together with summer salad and pasta. A good Spanish summer we will also work together with dishes that contain several different flavors, such as buffets and Tapas.

The wines

At celler de Capcanes we find the best box wine we’ve ever tried and some other real standouts for SEK 124-137, which is a bargain price for the quality you get for this money.

With a female winemaker who is considered the best in Spain and the third best in the world, you can be sure that everything produced here is of a very good quality. Anna Rovira and her team together create one of the nicest bodegas we have visited during the seven years we have worked with wines in Spain and the atmosphere really rubs off on the house’s wines.

Celler de Capcanes is about two hours from Barcelona and an hour from the coast (Tarragona) and is definitely worth a visit if you happen to be on the Spanish west coast this summer. Green valleys and high mountains make the Montsant region, which lies like a horseshoe around Priorat, which is better known for some of the world’s darkest and best wines, one of the world’s most interesting wine regions.
