Stockholm to host a new annual celebration of Spanish wine
Try Spanish Wine is bringing producers, wine professionals and Spanish wine lovers together in Stockholm on 12–13 February 2027 for a new two-day wine experience.
Spain has never been short of wine. What has been missing, perhaps, is a place in the Nordic countries where the people, places and stories behind those wines can come together.
That is what we want to change.
On 12–13 February 2027, Try Spanish Wine will bring a new Spanish wine experience to Stockholm — with the ambition of making it an annual meeting place for Spanish wine in the Nordic countries.
Think less traditional wine fair, more Wine Experience.
Over two days, Spanish producers will meet Nordic wine professionals, sommeliers, restaurants, importers, media and wine lovers. There will be tastings, masterclasses, conversations with winemakers, food and wine experiences — and, of course, a great deal of Spanish wine.
The inspiration comes partly from some of the world’s great wine events, where tasting is only one part of the experience. The real attraction is meeting the people who make the wines, discovering places you may not yet know and getting a better understanding of what is happening in the world of wine.
A different view of Spanish wine
Spain is changing.
The great classic regions remain important, but alongside them a new generation of producers is rediscovering old vineyards, forgotten grape varieties and different ways of expressing place.
Rioja is changing.
Ribera del Duero is changing.
Galicia, Catalonia, the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands are producing fascinating wines.
And some of the most interesting stories are coming from places that rarely make the headlines in the Nordic market.
We want to bring those stories to Stockholm.
The first edition will combine a professional wine programme on Friday with a larger wine experience for consumers and wine lovers across Friday and Saturday, including tastings, masterclasses and special events.
And we don’t want it to be a one-off!
The beginning of something annual
Our ambition is to create an annual event that grow together with the Spanish wine community in the Nordic countries.
A place where a small family bodega can stand alongside an established Rioja producer. Where a sommelier can meet a winemaker from a vineyard they have never heard of. Where wine lovers can taste Spain beyond the familiar names.
Most importantly, we want it to be a place where Spanish wine is presented through people, places and stories — not simply bottles on a table.
