Type of Cuisine: Traditional

Since its creation in 1880 by Leonard Lipp, Saint-Germain-des Prés’ Brasserie Lipp has received all the big names that have marked French literature (Gide, Malraux, Proust, St Exupéry, Camus, Sartre) and has become a Paris institution.

Saint Germain is an area with its famous history, you can still eat simple good food. Try a hearty meal such as Hemingway’s favourite sausage with mustard and french potatoes and olive oil washed down with beer at Brasserie Lipp.
