Gandarias is a popular pintxo bar and restaurant, located in the heart of the old town of San Sebastian, serving some of the best pintxos and traditional Basque cuisine with premium products: fresh, local and seasonal.

As you enter Gandarias there is a display of pintxos and usually a sea of people in front of you standing and eating whilst a little further inside the dining room is closely packed with tables and patrons tasting the menu of vegetables, meat, acorn-fed Iberian pig and fish, with some of the most famous dishes the roast piglet or baby lamb, Iberian acorn-fed Joselito ham, or T-Bone steak.

A nice pintxo to order is the tasty ‘Solomillo’ fillet steak topped on a piece of bread with green pepper and sprinkled with sea salt. And from the menu try grilled white prawns from Huelva in south western Spain cooked a la plancha and you simply must have a go at the classic Basque suckling pig.
