The 2019 Pruno has some unusual aromas reminiscent of pine needles, balsamic and faintly herbal with moderate alcohol (they harvested early in this warm year) and with very good balance and harmony. The aromas and flavors are pure and defined, and it’s tasty, easy to drink and has very fine tannins. Among the finest Pruno of recent times. 617,338 bottles, 13,059 magnums and 100 double magnums produced. It was bottled in October 2020.” 92 Points

Aromas of red fruit embodied with toffee-oak notes from aging in French barrels.

TASTE
Sweet and fruity with notes of ripe fruit and licorice. It gives a pleasant and soft aftertaste.

DISHES THAT GO WELL WITH THIS WINE
Roast beef, roast veal, hamburgers, venison. Sausages and ham, stews and casseroles, cheeses. Also pizza and pasta.

Serve at around 17°C.

Ribera del Duero’s reputation has grown due to its high-quality red wines made mainly from Tempranillo grapes. Tempranillo is the most popular grape variety, locally known as Tinto Fino or Tinta del Pais. Wines from this grape are pigmented, with a firm tannin structure and complex aromas of dark fruit.
