The most popular and classic of all Swedish gourmet dishes, with hand pealed prawns from the west coast, dill, mayo, horseradish and topped with nordic caviar.



500 g cooked peeled prawns

half a bunch of dill very finely chopped

2 tablespoons of mayonnaise

2 tablespoons of sour cream

half a red onion, peeled and very finely chopped

1 lemon

pinch of salt & pepper

knob go butter for frying

brioche or white bread slices

Optional: Caviar for that extra Nordic touch


Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, half the lemon juiced, dill and salt and pepper. Add the peeled prawns. Fry the bread in butter.

Serve the prawn mixture piled on top of the fried bread and garnish with caviar if you wish, for a true nordic taste, add a sprig of dill and a lemon wedge.
